Keith Loft is a Queensland police officer and Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) specialist. He has been deployed on local, national and international disasters including the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami and the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires.
Keith has presented on DVI case studies at conferences and universities in Australia and the United Kingdom. Concurrent with his full-time employment Keith is a doctorate student at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and holds a Master of Justice and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Intelligence from QUT.
In 2005 he commenced his study in Forensic Medicine and Science with the University of Edinburgh and was awarded his Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Medicine and Science with Distinction in 2009. He is the 2006 recipient of the University of Edinburgh’s ‘Lucas Medal in Forensic Medicine’.
